After a thorough professional preparation, each piece is painted with Casein paint, a milk-based paint that closely resembles oils and is one of the most durable paints available. Casein paint dates back to the Egyptians and had been used by Roman and Renaissance artists including the Old Masters. As history has proven, this medium has a durability and permanence which has easily stood the test of time. All pieces are finished with a hand-rubbed wax.
